Can I take Gastrocrom and ketotifen at the same time?? (Read 3141 times)

I have been on ketotifen for about 5 weeks and have benefited from it. Today my doc wants me to start Gastrocrom too. I just want to make sure I should take them both at the same time! Thanks for any advice!!! Pam H

I did both in my transition from gastrocrom to ketitofin. As I upped
my ketitofin to 3/day I reduced my viles from 8/day down to none. So I would say both is OK. The pharmacist that I get my ketitofin isn't real high on gastrocrom. Says too little is actually absorbed, where
the body does a better job w/ ketitofin. Been on 3/ day for a couple weeks. So for my skin pain is about the same, but when I have a release instead of the extra pain continuing for about 3 days, it's down to 1. So we'll see after a few months how it's working.

I hope that really helps you Mike! The only side effect I have had with Ketotifen is I am always hungry. It has helped me be able to eat foods that I haven't been able to eat in months, combine that with the constant hunger and I have gained some weight. I have started to try to fill up on green beans and fruit that I can tolerate. Good luck though!
