I don't know much about herbs but I do know that I have had excellent luck with chorella and liquid bentonite clay. Chorella is a heavy metal chelator, Taken internally, liquid bentonite supports the intestinal system in the elimination of toxins. Liquid bentonite is inert which means it passes through the body undigested.
Bentonite clay is made up of a high number of tiny platelets, with negative electrical charges on their flat surfaces and positive charges on their edges.
When bentonite clay absorbs water and swells up, it is stretched open like a highly porous sponge. Toxins are drawn into these spaces through electrical attraction and bound. In fact, according to the Canadian Journal of Microbiology (2), bentonite clay can reportedly absorb pathogenic viruses, as well as herbicides and pesticides.    
The bentonite is eventually eliminated from the body with the toxins bound to its multiple surfaces.

Anyways you take the chlorella first and then the liquid bentonite which will absorb all junk the chlorella released.
I took the chlorella in the morning and the clay at night, I did it for 3 weeks and I definetly noticed I was less reactive to things after the cleanse. You know when your sick you will try just about anything that you think will help you feel better or get better. But I'm a leaker not a shocker so it's not as scarey for me to try stuff like this. You said your husband reacts to a lot of things so definetly ask your doctor first if it is safe. It was recommend to me by a naturopath and my chiropractor. I felt no side effects during the cleanse, I feel it was extremely gentle.

With the chlorella just make sure it is cracked cell chlorella, otherwise it is pointless. The brands I have used are ''Pure Planet'' chlorella, and Dr. Mercola's brand of chlorella which was the less expensive of the two. Amazon carrys both. The thing about chlorella I like is you can start off with just a few tablets and work your way up to the recommended dose of 15 to 25. It really is just vitamins and minerals. The liquid clay I used is "Great Plains" Yerba Prima Bentonite detox, also avaiable on amazon, read the reviews on what people say about it. The thought of drinking liquid clay sounded so weird but it wasn't bad at all, tasted like drinking river water.Humans have been using clay for healing for thousands of years. You know some people don't believe in detoxing but I can't but to think all the junk we are exposed to......some of us more than others, it has to be contributing to our illness and making it worse. All the pesticides, heavy metals, chemicals, etc......pollution everywhere. Just my opinion, not saying detoxing is for everyone or a cure for masto but in general I just think it's over looked by doctors.

Hey have been researching both and they sound really good.
My only concern is that the chlorella is algae and is that like seaweed and would be high in iodine? My husband has hashimotos and we are supposed to stay away from iodine because it can further damage his thyroid glad.

I'm still going to to order and maybe hell just do the clay, I was going to try it first and see how my body responds.

Hey just ordered the clay, I also read you could do a clay bath to rid your body of toxins. Thanks for the physslium tip...looking for the capsules.
Go very slow with those since his tummy is such a mess and hopefully it won't scrape too much !!!
