New and wanting to do a trial of medications
11/19/12 at 06:17:18

Hello,
I have fatigue and gut issues primarily.  The gut issues include severe bloating and burping.
I belong to a CFS forum and one of the members has suggested that some of us really have a mast cell disorder rather than CFS.
I'm wondering if there is a trial of medications I could do to see if I feel better before investigating this further ?

Thanks,
Global

Often mast cell specialists might try a new patient on zantac twice a day (maybe 150 mg), allegra (180 mg) in morning, and zyrtec (10 mg) in evening. These are all over the counter meds.

If you want to try these, you might want to just try one for a few days and see how you do. If fine, then add another and see how you do. Then you can pinpoint how each one affects you. I totally didn't believe that these meds would help me, and I was completely surprised when they made me sooooo much better. It was amazing. Of course, there is much more to getting better than just the meds, such as avoiding triggers and chaning one's lifestyle (make sure you read the Start here section of the forum).
