Are MCAS People Only Females? (Read 1062 times)

I am not looking for someone to meet, but I am wondering if this affliction occur only to females? How about mastocytosis? Do males get that?

I think there are more women than men with MCAS. This article, for example, claims that 80% of people with "histamine intolerance" are women: http://www.data.aerzteblatt.org/pdf/DI/103/51/a3477e.pdf

I also think that women are just more likely than men to share their struggles and try to get advice/support from other people! That might explain why our board has such a high proportion of women... although we certainly have men who are members too.
