ulcers in ileum, regional enteritis, in addition to the rest
04/07/12 at 10:56:57

Hi guys,
I had a colonoscopy that shows regional enteritis with pyloric gland metaplasia and apthous ulcers in the terminal ileum. Usually that's Crohns, but I have gained weight and don't have diarhea or other Crohns symptoms. Also my anemia is not the iron difficient kind, it is normocytic. Flushing is helped with quercetin. Also ears and throat still itching/hurting.
Has anyone had colonoscopy reuslts that look like IBD but not symptomatic for IBD?
Thanks so much for any help on any of this.

Mine weren´t quite like this, but I do have pathological damage, yes.

Crohn's can come and go and be so mild that there aren't noticeable symptoms.  There are blood tests that can help to rule Crohn's in or out.  What does your GI doc say about all this?

Quercetin can be very rough on the digestive system.  It should be taken with a meal, and it can still do damage in some people.

Lisa,
what do you mean your ulcers weren't quite like this but you did have pathological damage?I Would love to hear what you mean...

Joan, I am having another colonoscopy...but I really doubt it's Crohns with no symptoms and weight gain. Thanks for any help.Debbie
