Numbness on Gums/FrontTeeth/Upper Lip
09/12/11 at 01:59:36

Does anyone else ever get numbness on front teeth, gums and upper lip?

My husband has a little reaction on his nose and upper lip, it got a little red patchy (not hives), lips swelled a little bit and its happened a couple times, whats weird is that he says this whole area goes numb?

I asked Dr Wilson at NIH if this sounded normal or like an allergic reaction  and he said no but he doesn't have allergies and neither do I...so I figured Id ask the experts...has anyone else experienced this?

Im taking him to the dentist for a cleaning and his gum don't like red or infected.

Feed back is always appreciated!

I used to have this all the time until I made some changes.  Now I just get when I eat something that causes a reaction.  I get it usually from toothpaste, drinking children's benadryl, or eating an offending food.
