Today I say I'm sorry
sorry for all the inconvenience
that which you think I have caused you
interrupting all your plans.

Sorry I had to shock
while you planned on something else,
using your time to help me
to listen while I was afraid

You can not imagine
the things that were going wrong,
making me feel sick, perhaps that I might die.
You just saw the oustide,
where I show the face
the one that you want to remember, that won't get in your way.

Sorry I ask too many questions
taking up your time
trying to understand
with perspective and hard experience
a training of its own.

Suffering that is known
to the few who are brave enough to hold it
deep within their bones
the world of your imagination,
pictures in textbooks,
not found in any of your cells

Don't say you understand
when there's no way that you could.
Did you think I would believe you
when I saw into your soul?

Though I would not have chosen it
I see why it is mine;
because I had a mirror
there inside my eyes

For when I see their suffering
those of many causes
I see my own reflection,
feel it in my cells
and I feel life more deeply
than you will ever know.

So sorry for the inconvenience, as I interupt your life,
lived on the surface
in waters that never stir.
I will pass by you unnoticed,
unexperienced,
and you will remain imprisioned in your convenient world.

Jill that is an amazing expression of the tough stuff you and many others endure.  I'm sorry that , as if the physical and emotional challenges of this condition aren't enough, there are the added agonies brought on by other people.  Thank you for sharing it,
