seizures & antihistamines
03/24/15 at 02:41:19

Anyone have any advise on what to do or take if AH cause us to have seizures?  I have tried the newer ones & they still cause seizures.  I could be spared a lot of problems if I could take a simple AH.  My doc only says, don't take them if they cause seizure.  If I've learned anything in life "nothings fair".  any suggestions appreciated.

Wondering if other types of mast cell stabilizers, Singulair, or increased H2 antihistamines would be helpful, if you can tolerate them.  Dr. Theo's formulas might be a possibility.  If you call their number listed on his website, you might be able to ask that he be asked if his products have caused seizures in anyone.  If you can take salicylates, perhaps aspirin or curcumin/turmeric might help.

Have you tried all the older antihistamines, such as hydroxyzine?  Another possibility might be doxepin, which acts as both an H1 and H2 antihistamine.  Of course, definitely check with your doctor before you try anything else.
