I have read that mast cells play a role in male infertility. Seeking info from anyone diagnosed with ISM that has experienced this as a result.  I was diagnosed 4 years ago and just recently became concerned about this potential problem.

Joe, I think that Joan´s suggestion is excellent!  You may also want to write to Dr. Lawrence Afrin - He is likely to know about this subject.  I do believe that this is behind women´s infertility and menstruation problems even though I´ve never googled it.  The MC is essential for menstruation to occur and has a definitive role.  Many masto women find they have an increase in activity during certain days during the monthly cycle and some have even gone so far as to have hysterectomies due to the increase in activity.  So based upon this, I would not be surprised at all that MCs are involved in male infertility too.
