ADHD meds for Mental Fatigue?
08/13/14 at 18:51:26

I'm wanting to try an ADHD med, such as methylphenidate, for mental fatigue unless it's a med that's blacklisted as very commonly not tolerated in MCAD. I think I'll ask about it at my 2nd appointment with an MCAD expert in 2 weeks.

Dr. Afrin even writes that amphetamines may be used as therapy but I never heard of anyone testing it. I would give it a try immediately but I cannot get my hands on it and I am not willing to buy some shit from drug dealers.
I take 100mg Milnacipran and 150mg Bupropion which are norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors. The effect is not very strong but okay. Sometimes I take 200mg coffeine to get more energy but I guess amphetamines should work a lot better.

There are drugs like Adrafinil or Modafinil available but there may be no benefit to amphetamines like Adderall or methamphetamine. The inventors claim that the development of drug tolerance is decreased with Modafinil or Armodafinil which would be very nice. Drug tolerance could be a huge problem. Of course it is needed to be very thorough and careful in testing such stuff.

A little late in writing but I take Vyvanse Xr 50 mg. in the a.m. and 20 mg. at 2:00 p.m.  I drink no less than 3 cups of coffee a day.  I have POTS and autoimmune chronic urticaria (2ndary mast cell disease/per criteria), and hereditary connective tissue problems.

I know for me it does wonders.  My son with inattentive ADHD cannot stand it.  It makes him sweaty and nervous.  It makes me feel like I am alive, as opposed to me being horizontal my entire life!
