I have just joined this forum and this is my first post.

I have been diagnosed with MACD due to extensive facial flushing triggered primarily by heat, causing me to live in a 63 degree environment which is totally preventing me from leading a normal life.
I have travelled to Maine this summer trying to find cooler weather for walks.  Unfortunately this has only been possible a few mornings around 8am. My tryptase is elevavated at 18-20 and I also have an elevated serotonin at around 270 (high normal around 180).  I have not heard of elevated serotonin associated with MCAD and am wondering if there are members of the forum that have this condition as well.  The other unusual symptom is that there is only hot facial flushing without any other part of the body being affected.  Are there others with this condition? I am on ketotifen, cromalyn sodium, aspirin, gabapentin, and lorazapam.
I am considering possibility of move to Santa Fe but am really concerned that there would be no mast cell doctors nearby. It would be of help to know of closest mast cell specialist.
