My super-safe diet
05/13/13 at 04:56:07

Just thought I'd share the diet I have recently been eating that has continue to make me feel better day after day. Until my eye infection came back and messed things up, anyway.

This is a ridiculously plain diet, but I'm desperate to get down to a good level of health and it will be best in the long run

Breakfast
-----------

6 scrambled egg
or
rice puffs and soya milk
or
oat (specific brand) and soya milk
or
weetabix and soya milk (I get a real boost from all the b-vits and iron in weetabix)

Lunch
-------
Shake containing:
soya milk
cocoa powder
ground up rice puffs
2tbsp olive oil
2btsp rapeseed oil (specific high qulaity brand)

Dinner
-------
Meat and wholegran pasta or white basmati rice (wholegrain comes back out)
or
Spaghetti bolognese:
minced beef
pasta
tomato (seems to be fine even though high in salicylates)
garlic granules

So glad it works for you!

We'are all different, I can't eat anything processed like cereal or tomato sauce and garlic (just the smell) is one of my most severe triggers.

But I have a growing short list of organic fresh foods I can eat and am so thankful for it too!

Stick with what works and I hope you get to eat a lot more as time goes by!

Great news that you have found some safe foods! This will really help your body repair itself, and you should be able to add more foods in eventually. I am always fascinated at what others can eat that I cannot. It really is interesting! Garlic is one of my worst triggers, but you can easily eat it!

I found recently I can tolerate tomato sauce (always have been able to eat garlic) ... I don't do soy anything but otherwise we seem to eat some similar things.

I can't do vitamin C! Crazy. I've tried many times, but every time I get really sick!
Still working out my food issues. I think I have two big no nos down, tomato sauce, chocolate and possible garlic.

Brigitte, over 700 mg of vitamin C can cause mast cells to degranulate.  I have a hard time taking even less!  Do your vitamins have bioflavornoids in them?  Those contain salicylates!
