Nottingham University Hospital or Guy's and St Thomas' in London?
05/09/13 at 06:06:59

After some hesitation by my partner's primary care trust, they have agreed to refer her to a Mastocytosis specialist. Since we live in Warwickshire (UK), our choices are Dr. Elisabeth Drewe at the Nottingham University Hospital, or Dr. Sophie Farooque/Dr. Clive Grattan at the Guy's and St Thomas' Trust in London.

Does anyone on this forum know any of these doctors and can you recommend them?

Hi Michel

I saw Dr Grattan at Guys two weeks ago and he is very good and considered the most knowledgeable in the UK.   You can also see him at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital which might be closer for you.  He sees both private and NHS patients.  I am sorry but I have not heard of the other two.

Hope that helps

Anne

I believe that we have seen Dr Grattan's name on this forum a lot. I will check with one of my forum advisors and get back to you to confirm.
