Hi guys and gals!  i apologize if this is readily available and i have missed it but i am supposed to do the 24 hour urine test and need to know what medication and food should be avoided prior to the test.  I had done the test a couple of years ago while in the hospital, and they had told me to avoid certain foods like bananas and strawberries as well as some medication before starting it.  I cannot find this info and don't want to have another delay because of something like this.   Thank you guys so much for your help and support!

Sounds like 5-HIAA to me too!!!   Must be the Bananas.  

Mine was normal the first time and then several years later when I did it again it was below normal.  The serotonin blood test coincided with the urine test results!
