Hello,

My last IGE level per my allergist was 600. This is elevated but I have read about people who are in the thousands, so I guess 600 is not that extreme.

Can Dr. Afrin pin down MCAS to be IGE driven or if prostaglandins are found high in urine, is it impossible for him to definitively pin down what is triggering your MCAS.

I have googled a lot, but have found nothing . Any Dr. Afrin patients or anyone with info will be greatly appreciated.

When I was tested years ago, I had a very high IgE. Dr Akin didn't seem concerned with it at all and said it could be a result of some basic allergies. Now I hardly have any allergies, but I allergic to mold in the air and dust....those are everywhere and I suppose that could have caused my high level.

I have IA, by the way, as my diagnosis.
