II said Id post a recipe last nite; so here it is. Hopefully it hasnt any triggers for most of us:
3c. Sifted Flour
1t. Bkg. Powder
1/2t. Salt
1c. Crisco Butter Flvr. Shortening
1&1/2c. Sugar
1&1/2t. Vanilla
2 Eggs
Blend theShortening,sugar,vanilla,&eggs together, then add the dry ingredients slowly.. Divide dough into two equal amounts; wrap in wax paper ( in a packet,like a thick pancake)& chill at least 2 hr.s-overnite.
Roll out & cut into desired shapes. Bake at 400 for 6-9 minutes-depending on the size of your cookies.
Cookies can be frosted and frozen between layers of wax paper.
Icing:
1 box confectoiners sugar
1 stick butter
1/3c. crisco (butter flvr.)
1t. vanilla
1t. milk
Blend together- add food coloring if you know yoou can tolerate it.
