Are light treatments effective for UP?
06/02/11 at 15:58:42

My Dermatologist convinced me to try UVA light treatments last year.  I took 30 treatments, with no change in my hundreds of spots.  Now, he wants me to try UVB treatments.  He assures me he's had success with other Masto patients.  Have any of you tried either UVA or UVB light treatments and have you had success?

Somebody else asked about this yesterday.  There may be a dermatology site that answers that question.

Dermatology sites say light treatment is sometimes effective, which is what my dermatologist told me.  So, after 10 UVB treatments, I seem to have more and larger spots!  I just wondered if they actually worked on any of you or if this is more BS from doctors using Masto patients as guinea pigs.
