jenwic Tutor Offline I Love YaBB 2! Posts: 43 southern Ohio	tests 04/20/11 at 07:10:06 I am going to have the urine test for methlhistamines. I am taking Claritin right now. Do I need to go off the Claritin first? For how long?

I assumed I needed to go off of it because when I went for allergy testing, the dr. said to go off all antihistimines for 2 weeks before. I'll admit, I wasn't looking forward to doing without the Claritin.

DeborahW, Founder FOUNDER/ADMIN Offline Posts: 1224 USA	Re: tests Reply #3 - 04/20/11 at 14:50:02 Oh gosh. You might want to find a more knowledgeable allergist. It can be very dangerous to do allergy testing without your meds! Yikes! That could possibly KILL me! (I have Idiopathic Anaphylaxis).
