its taken 7 years to find out prednisone stops the mast cell thing
75mg x 3 but when it wheres of bang all back big time
tried 50mg x3 did not do much
the ?? is dose it lower the Tryptase as it would be a simple test to find Mast cell activation in anyone

Hi Peter,

Have you tried a lower dose over a longer period of time and reducing it slowly? I've done 2-weeks, starting at 60 mg. for several days and then reducing it slowly. Might ask your doctor if something like that might work for you.

I don't know for sure, but I'd guess it doesn't lower the tryptase level in SM people, but it might in MCAS. That's really a guess. Maybe someone else knows.

Hi joan the experts must have tried the blood test while on prednisone to see what changed in both SM and MCA IN 2007 This could have saved my house job business supper insurance about $300,000 there is no reasen for not trying a one day trail so tou know what your dealing with
