Title: recent fractures Post by loretta on 11/14/12 at 02:48:55 I have had 2 back compression facture since Aug. Dr. wants to put me on prolia for my osteoporoisi. It is an injection that lasts for 6 months has anyone had any experience with this affecting your masto. We are also working with a drug company for gleevec. Has any one had problems with this. I am very confused and scared at this point. Was diagnosied in 2006 and this is my first real setback. Thanks in advance for any help Loretta |
Title: Re: recent fractures Post by Joan on 11/14/12 at 16:33:50 I don't know about Prolia, but bisphosphonates are recommended for mast cell patients with bone deterioration. Have you asked about other, shorter-acting options? Are you seeing an osteoporosis specialist or a mast cell specialist? If not, one of those might be the doctor to ask about Prolia. I know it's relatively new. |
