Title: Ear popping?
Post by kcpatrick on 09/10/12 at 09:35:36

Does anyone else have popping ears after eating? I am not sure if this is a reactive food yet but I have noticed my ears pop every time I swallow after eating grilled chicken nuggets.

My ears don't pop, but they itch!  Sounds crazy but the tubes deep  inside the ear canal itch.  I can only guess it is from kind of swelling.  I tried the ever so evil ketchup(i love ketchup!) sunday evening, just one dip and my ears started itching.  Sometimes potatoe chips will make them itch too.

Don't know about popping, but I get the itching.  I've always thought it was inside the eustachian tubes, but don't know for sure.

I've had it since I was a child and always thought it was allergies.  I've had a lot of other weird symptoms, too.  I might even be weirder than you are! :D

Title: Re: ear symptoms, thyroid, etc?

Okay, so I have ear pain in addition to ear itching....I haven't had it in 6 months and now it is back again.....I also get sore throats that come for a few weeks and go....Zantac helps some with this...anyone have anything else that works?

Since I also have thyroid nodules, and just found out one has 2 out of 4 vascularity (but it's only 7mm) I'm wondering if there could be a problem with that since I recently read that thyroid cancer is sometimes associated with MCAS.....I'll see a thyroid specialist soon.

Any thoughts on any of this? Debbie
