I started taking ketotifen in the middle of last week - 4mg three times a day. I have also had a very stressful period at the same time - the unexpected death of a very young relative and some other things. I have noticed that I am clearing my throat more often and I think my throat feels a little tight off and on. Is this likely the ketotifen or do you think it is a coincidence and more likely a response to a lot of stree? I am not sure whether to take my night dose of ketotifen tonight or not. Advice from you experienced people, please. Thanks.

So sorry about your loss! Stress is hard when you're trying to be more stable.

This sounds like something to talk over with your doctor asap. It's hard to know which is causing your additional symptoms, because stress can be such a big trigger. If your throat feels like it's closing, don't hesitate to get emergency help. If you have a trusted antihistamine, you might want to see if you can increase the dosage. A mild anti-anxiety medicine might be helpful at a time like this, too.
