Title: Eggs
Post by Anaphylaxing on 02/27/12 at 09:55:48

Me again!

I just tried an egg today. I'm a bit tense about it but really hope it goes well as it was DELICIOUS!

I don't know yet if it's a trigger for me, but wondered how others do with eggs?

I've had to stop potatoes and beef for severe stomach burning and pain after which may or may not be MCD related. 8-)

Regular potatoes aren't good for me but sweet potatoes are a staple. I hope you do well on eggs. I'm trying to work up the nerve to try them. I tried some Plain Fage Greek yogurt today and have a lovely rash all over. No stomach pain though. I know dairy usually isn't good for me but I was hoping to add one more food to my pretty restricted diet. What are you able to tolerate right now?

Thanks Mousse!

So SORRY about the Fage I used to love it! It could be the fermentation in the yogurt not just the dairy. I can tolerate organic milk not regular and haven't tried yogurt yet since it's on the high histamine food list. . .when I do try it I will try to find organic yogurt. Fage used to be my all time favourite I would eat it by the bucketful!

Right now (and it keeps changing) I can eat brown rice cakes (but not steamed rice LOL), oats, organic milk, butter etc, bananas, sweet potatoes, broccoli, sugar...I Keep updating the list on my blog.

potatoes and beef were fine for AGES but suddenly having these issues and don't know if it's one or the other or both

What are you able to eat? What do regular potatoes do to you?

I have not had a problem with eggs- while stable - but with this last flare a scrambled egg caused a reaction.  But on good days, I have them in baked goods and scrambled without problems!  :)

It's funny;
When I was a kid, eggs made me queasy, but now I can usually eat them.  :-? LOVE them poached on toast!  I've been realizing that (DUH) I've been paying more attention to what I eat-than how I season it ! :-[
Bye bye montreal steak seasoning... The red meats goin too- well, mostly ;)

K, the eggs may or may not be linked to getting some bulkier nodes in the right half of my neck after I eat. Yeesh. Hope it's a coincidence

Anyone else notice something like that with any foods?

I do get swelling of nodes in my neck during food reactions. Under and around my ears.
