Title: Re: The BOOK Post by Joan on 12/31/11 at 14:57:10 Books take such a long time to go from manuscript to printed copies that the information can be out-dated before it ever gets into print, especially scientific texts. It can take 3-5 years to get published! |

Title: Re: The BOOK Post by Joan on 02/04/12 at 13:31:56 Hi Peter, I've had similar incidents, especially after I moved to a new city and no one knew what was going on with me. It's interesting that when I take the packet of information about medicines to avoid, anesthesia, etc. that is published on the TMS website, they believe me a lot more. I had a radiology technician insist that I'd be fine with contrast until I insisted that I be allowed to speak with my doctor before anything was done. I nearly got into a fight with that technician before he finally agreed to call. You're right about rocking the boat, but we have to do it in order to save our own lives! This disease is not for the faint of heart! |
