Title: Suggestion box!
Post by DeborahW, Founder on 01/27/11 at 04:13:05

If you have any things that you would like to see on the forum (suggestions or changes) , please list them here. No promises that I know how to enable them, but I am always interested in hearing your requests.

I would like the ability to edit just our own posts.  Also I love the 'emoticons' and I have some really cute ones , if you would like to add more. I also wish we could write something about ourselves in our profiles but I dont see a place to do it.  Can we add a chat??
(running away before Debbie hits me LOL)...
Thanks!

I think the forum is great. But if you are looking for other suggestions I would like a 'like' button  so I can show my appreciation for something without a whole message - not lazy, just don't feel a need to clutter up some threads without anything to add, but want to show I appreciate what's been written.

Love the suggestions, gals, but I don't think the forum has those capabilities. I will spend some time looking around to find out, though.

Deborah,

Any chance we could have the option to turn off the flashing red buttons that announce new info? Maybe it could be an individual choice?

I tend to react to flashing lights, and have to run around the forum clicking on each of these before they give me a migraine. At least I figured out that would turn them off! I was afraid, when I first joined, that I would be unable to read the forum at all.

And thank you for the wonderful job you do making this place available for everyone who needs it. Having run support groups myself, I am well aware of what it takes.

Sorry Susan! If I turn off the blinking red light, I lose it for everyone and that is the only way to find the new posts in a quick glance.

I understand, Deborah. These forums that are preset don't always have all the options it would be nice to have. At least this one isn't so busy that they all are lit up every time I look.
