Title: Presentation,Diagnosis & Management MCAS by Dr. Lawrence B. Afrin
Post by PJP123 on 04/29/13 at 15:19:04

I came upon this article the other night and was blown away by the information linking Mast Cell Disease, Dysautonomia and Connective Tissue disease (all of which I suffer from).  It looks like it was just published a few days ago.  It's 77 pages long and covers everything we all have been trying to figure out ourselves.  It is unbelievable.  I hope you can read it all on this link.

Thank you.  When I have more time I will read the entire article.  Dr. Afrin is my doctor.

It's a VERY lengthy but well written article that covers many issues. I've been trying to read it for over a week now.

I was diagnosed with EDS Hypermobility Oct 2012 so I appreciated his reference to that as well.

I found myself nodding my head in agreements to MANY of the things he mentions.

BRAVO for Dr. Afrin for putting this well written article together!

Fantastic resource!  I believe it updates the MCAS diagnosis and treatment practitioner's guide that was more informal and posted on a website.  Thanks, Dr Afrin (and PJP for posting)!

I'm definitely giving this to my regular physician, who has been working with one of the mast cell specialists from afar.  He is always trying to make sense of all the MCAS peculiarities and this will really help to pull it all together.
